Start up issues starts up at 1200rpm for 5 seconds then returns to 700rpm car runs like its on kangaroo petrol and stalling jumping all over the place once a warmed up no more issues until the next morning car less than 2 weeks old anyone got any similar issues plus still waiting on mg garage checking my car for fog lights not working either not a good start for a new motor

Hi,

It sounds like the car needs an ECU update.

My own 2018 ZS Exclusive 1.5 manual had the same problem from new and it took the MG dealer Apple MG 2 different ECU updates to sort out.

The cars have been tuned to run lean because of EU emissions law but it does cause problems with car engines that aren't really that clean in the first instance.

Take it back to the dealer and let them have the car overnight so that any testing is carried out from cold.

Apparently, according to some MG dealers state that the car doesn't like supermarket petrol but I've been using all supermarket brands like Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons without any issues.
