I went and got myself an armrest for the car which has USB ports too which will be useful for charging things in the car.

Here's what I received.

I bought this shape as it has a cut out for the handbrake usage and during testing after installation, the cut out is a must as it barely interferes with the pulling up of the handbrake.

If I had a car with an automatic handbrake then I would have gone for the more traditional shape.

The parcel was shipped by EMS and then dropped off by Royal Mail 48, no custom charges to pay.

The colour is not 100% match but it is good enough to not be so noticeable.

I hope that this is useful for someone.

Cheers..

I bought the pre-USB one and am really pleased with it.

I have a dual port 'cigarette lighter' port and a multi head charge lead... should keep me going.

After using the car today with the armrest, I have no idea how I managed without one before.

I got this exact armrest today but I have no idea how to fit it into my 2019 MG ZS 1.0.. I see no screw holes under the mat in the car where the armrest is supposed to be.. do you just push down on it really hard?

Hi,

You need to use 4 self tapping screws to secure the armrest to the place where the mat used to sit.

Once you've done that the armrest shouldn't wobble when in use.

If you ever remove the armrest then just use the OEM mat to hide the screw holes.

Cheers..

Update... I bought a USB one, and sold my first one on.

Also bought a couple of these to add a bit of light in the rear of the cabin.

Just need to find a way to neatly connect the armest to the USB... maybe dig out the glue gun?
